Customs Declaration Service (CDS)

The Customs Declaration Service supports making import and export declarations when moving goods into the out of the UK. It has been recently implemented by the Government and replaces CHIEF from the 1^{st of} October 2022. To use CDS, you must have training on many aspects of customs, which is where Sea Kargo Ltd can help you. Our Customs Clerks are trained to use CDS and can provide an effective solution to customs clear your goods.

For you to have customs clearances accepted through CDS, you must register for CDS.

Things you need:

Government Gateway account – Click here to create an account

EORI number – Click here to apply

Once you have got these, you are ready to register for CDS. To register for CDS, please Click Here.

Once you are registered for CDS, you will need to assign Sea Kargo Ltd as your customs broker. Please see below steps:

Login to your Gov Gateway account

Go to Your Customs Financial accounts and select Manage your authorities >

Select Add Authority >

Enter EORI number GB117820426000 and select Continue >

Select both Duty Deferment, cash options, and then Continue >

Check the details are correct and if so, select Yes and Continue >

Select Today for the start date and then Continue >

Allow this user to see available balances, select Yes >

Then enter your name and check the details and providing correct then select Confirm this authority and submit
